Brick by Brick
In the Catholic Diocese of Aguleri, we are laying the foundation for a thriving spiritual community, step by step. With faith as our cornerstone, we are steadily growing—nurturing parishes, strengthening fellowship, and spreading the Gospel. Little by little, we are building a legacy of love, service, and devotion, together.
In the heart of Aguleri, Blessed Cyprian Michael Iwene Tansi shines as our hallowed star, guiding us with his enduring legacy of faith and service. Born in 1903 in Igboezunu, Aguleri, Tansi rose from humble beginnings to become a beacon of holiness, ordained as a priest in 1937 and later embracing the contemplative life as a Trappist monk. His tireless devotion to reconciling souls with God and nurturing the spiritual life of our community laid a foundation that inspires us to build, brick by brick, a diocese rooted in love and unity. Beatified in 1998 by Pope St. John Paul II, Tansi remains Aguleri’s pride, his life a testament to God’s glory, calling us to grow steadily in faith and compassion.
