St Paul’s Parish Aguleri Otu comprises of Enugu otu and Eziagulu-otu, the riverine part of Aguleri. St Paul’s parish was carved out of St Joseph parish Aguleri (now a Cathedral).
It was raised to the status of a parish in the year 1990 by Most Rev Stephen N Ezeanya the then Arch Bishop of Onitsha, with Rev fr. Philip Nwafor as the first parish priest. Later, on the 20th Jan 2005, an Outstation was created at Oninze called BI Iwene Tansi outstation. The parish under the administration of Fr Godwin Oyekwe began a nursery school later to Primary called Nazereth Nursery & Primary School. Also on 29th September 2004 the parish under the Leadership aforementioned Pastor began yet another School now a Secondary School Called Blessed Iwene Tansi Secondary School Eziagulu-out.
On The 20th of December 2015, the parish celebrated her 25th anniversary as a parish led by Rev Fr. Paschal Uzziḥ the then Parish priest during which the newly built calvary Garden was blessed.
However,over the time, St Paul’s Parish has withnessed up to to Seven pastoral Visits since her inception.
