St. Mary’s Parish Eziagulu-otu was formerly Independent Station under St paul’s Parish Enugu otu between 2007 and 2011. It was canonically elevated to the Status of a Parish Wednesday 23rd December 2011 during the pastoral visit of His Grace Mt Rev. Val Okeke.
St Mary Later had her own outstations namely St Jude Okpaiyagba and St Dominic’s Oviaokusu. Since the inception as independent Station in 2009, the parish has been administered by these priests, Rev Fr Augustine Muoghalu, Rev.Fr. Ben Udogwu.
The Church of St Mary’s manages these Schools in the Community St Mary’s Nursery and Primary School, National primary school and blessed Iwene Tansi econdary school.
All things being equal, the structural development in the Parish Includes, the erection of a moderate Frs House, Grotto of the Blessed virgin Mary, and the Calvary Garden. Also the Parish has a good rice and Cassava Mill. So far, over time the Parish has the witnessed two pastoral Visits, first on the 23rd of December 2011 by His Grace Most Rev. Val Okeke and secondly on the 23rd December 2015 by His Lordship Most Rev Denis Isizoh the then auxiliary bishop of Onitsha (now the Bishop of Aguleri)
