St. Peter’s parish Oze began as an outstation of St. Williams parish Nkwelle. The first holy mass as St. Peter was celebrated by Rev. Fr. Denis Nwafor in October 1991, when St, Peter’s was made an outstation.
In December 2006, The outstation was elevated to the status of an independent station and then to the status of a parish on 26th September, 2012 by Most Rev. Valerian Okeke with the appointment of Rev. Fr. Martin Atumanya as the firsst administrator
