Our Lady Queen of Apostles Omeife, Nkwelle-Ezunaka

Our Lady Queen of Apostles was pronounced a parish by His Grace, Most Rev. Dr Valerian Maduka Okeke, the Archbishop of Onitsha, on the 16th day of October, 2016. But before then, we started as a Block Rosary Centre named Health of the Sick, which was inaugurated on the 5th day of March, 2005, and from then on the Parish Priest of our mother Parish, Very Rev. Fr. Jude Oboshi, started celebrating mass for us once a month. Based on the positive response towards this development, Fr. Jude Oboshi resolved to celebrate mass every Sunday for us by 5.30 am.

It is worthy of note that all this started at the residence of Mr. Callistus Okeke of No. 21 Polycarp Obodomezie Street, Genesis Estate. In 2010, a committee was formed to manage the affairs of the outstation, headed by Mr. Damian Nwana and other faithful members who worked tirelessly to see that we achieved our goal. It was through this counsel that Fr. Jude Oboshi named the station Our Lady Queen of Apostles Outstation. Through his encouragement by words and action, the council went in search of a bigger space because of the ever-increasing population of the church members. The Council went for a loan of N3.5m (three million, five hundred thousand naira) without interest, and structural works began in name. Rev. Fr. Josephat-Mario Madubonu took over from Fr. Jude Ikenze.
