REV. FR DAVID OZOEMENA
He was born in Aguleri into the
family of late Mr Joseph and Mrs Veronica Ozoemena of Enugu Otu Aguleri,
Anambra East Local Government Area of Anambra State on 1st March
1968. He attended his primary school at central school, Enugu Otu Aguleri and
completed it in 1982. Having joined business at a very tender age, the young
David started savouring dreams of becoming a priest. As a result, he entered St
Paul’s Seminary Ukpor to begin his journey to the Catholic priesthood. After
three years at Ukpor, he entered All Hallows Seminary Onitsha where he finished
in the year 1993.
Having
finished his one year apostolic work at Nsugbe in 1994, David was highly
recommended for spiritual year which he did at St Pius X Spiritual year
Seminary, Akwu-Ukwu. After Spiritual year, he was sent to Bigard Memorial
Seminary, Enugu in 1995 where he did both philosophy and Theology. He was
ordained a deacon on 16th December 2002. The successful completion
of his Theological study at Enugu finally led to his priestly ordination on 16th
August, 2003 at the Holy Trinity Cathedral (now the Basilica of the Most Holy
Trinity), Onitsha.
