VERY REV FR. DR. FRED ONUORAEGBUNAM NDIMAEME

Fr. Fred Ndimaeme hails from Ihiala town in Ihiala LGA Anambra State. He is the third child in the family of eleven and he is the second son of the family. He started his primary education in Adoata Central School Ihiala and completed in the year 1978. He then proceeded to St Paul’s Seminary Ukpor for his secondary education and he completed it in All Hallows Seminary Onitsha in 1983.

      After his WAEC, he was sent to St. Martin’s Parish Ihiala as a pioneer ONYCAS manager for Ihiala zone under Rev. Fr Emmanuel Agbakwuru Cssp. He completed this assignment in the year 1984. In November 1984, Fr. Fred Ndimaeme began his Philosophical studies in Bigard Memorial Seminary Ikot Ekpene which is now known as St. Joseph’s Major Seminary Ikot Ekpene. He completed his Philosophical studies and was sent as an Auxiliary Formator to All Hallows Seminary Onitsha so he can assist in forming the junior Seminarians. On the completion of his pastoral work in All Hallows Seminary Onitsha, he was sent back to St. Joseph’s Major Seminary Ikot Ekpene for his theological studies.

      He was ordained a Deacon on 18th September 1993. On the 10th April, 1994, he was ordained a priest which made him the 22nd indigenous Catholic Priest in Ihiala.

Pastoral Experience

Very Rev Fr Fred Ndimaeme since his ordination has worked in the following Parishes:

1.   Saints John & Paul Iba Pope as the Parish Vicar.

2.   St Mary’s Ukpor Center as the Parish Vicar.

3.   St John’s Parish Oba as a Parish Priest.

4.   St Theresa’s Umunya as a residential Priest on studies.

5.   Our Lady’s Chaplaincy Nkpor as a residential Priest on studies.

6.   St Raphael’s Parish Anumudu Okpoko as a Parish Priest.

7.   St Catherine’s Parish Awkuzu as a Parish Priest.

8.   St Jude’s Parish Abube-Agu Nando as the Parish Priest.

Academic Qualifications

The burning quest for knowledge made Fr Fred Ndimaeme obtain the following Degrees after his Ordination in Nnamdi Azikiwe Federal University Awka

1.   PGD/Masters in Public Administration.

2.   PGD/Masters in Religious Studies

3.   PGDE in Education

4.   Ph.D. in Religious Studies.
